August Gerard Schwartz

I am very proud to have been a Montessori child and a son of New Orleans.

My professional career began in the winter of 1983 when I was hired by Glatting, Sellen, Lopez, Anglin, the premier Central Florida landscape architecture and Planning firm. Glatting first tasked me to complete the field work for the redevelopment of Beach Street and Main Street in Daytona Beach, Florida.  This effort was a mirror of my college thesis, a plan for revitalization of an early 19th century retail district in New Orleans.

After almost three years, I left Glatting to join Studio One, an architectural firm in Winter Park, Florida.   Studio One specialized in designing unique residential architectural product types ranging from high density Zero Lot and Z Lot homes to estates homes with acreage. After a decade with Studio One I left to join Land Images, a landscape architectural firm which had offices in downtown Orlando and Mt. Dora, Florida. In 1999 I decided to work on my own and have been following that course since.

From the late 1990s until 2008 my work was split between Orlando / Winter Park and Vero Beach with 40% of my work in Vero Beach.   Beginning in 2008 my work shifted primarily to Vero Beach, though I do continue to service Orlando and Winter Park clients with whom I've had long relationships.

I am the sum of those efforts which preceded me.
